Bo the Border Collie Says,

"Go Fishing"

Fish Story

Many years ago, back when you didn't have to show your fishing license except when you were fishing, Cantil Creek was running heavy with Water. Fish and  Game decided to stock the creek.

One particular game warden had the reputation of being someone who would get  up at 2 a.m. to arrest his mother for poaching. On this particular morning, the zealous warden decided to check Cantil Creek.

A fisherman no sooner parked and started getting his fishing tackle out of  his car, when the game warden approached and asked, "May I see your fishing license?"

"I'm not fishing," the man replied.

The man takes his tackle down to the creek and begins hiking along the bank with the game warden following along close behind.

At the creek, the warden asked again, "May I see your fishing license?"

"I'm not fishing," came the reply.

The man continued up the stream for more than a mile with the warden periodically asking for the license and receiving the same "I'm not fishing" response.

Finally, the man found a nice spot, baited his hook and while casting with  one hand, reached into his pocket with the other and presented the warden  with a valid fishing license.

"Now I'm fishing," he said.

This story is true. Told by D. Stephens as printed in the Tehachipi paper.
